WANT a hearse? Sure you do. Lots of people do.
NEED a hearse? Save some money. When you think you have enough, save some more. When you are done with that, double the figure and you still won't have enough. Hearse ownership is EXPENSIVE. And if you're here looking for a 1959 Cadillac hearse, the prices start at around $10,000 for a rebuildable one. With bad glass. And a bad engine. And no interior. No kidding.
Your best resource for used hearses is your local funeral home. If you show up "cold" to inquire, wait until they have dealt with the families that are there to use their services. Dress clean. Comb your hair. They like that.
Be prepared to be told "no".
Be prepared to get odd looks from the Director and/or the office staff.
Smile, say "thank you" and don't cause a scene when you leave.
